2010 Fire Station Design Awards Program

In conjunction with the Fire Station Design Symposium, the Fire Industry Equipment Research Organization will once again stage its annual Fire Station Design Awards program to recognize excellence in fire station or related fire facilities design and construction. The awards program is open to design firms and fire departments that have brought a fire facility on-line during the last five years or have a project “on-the-boards” that has not yet been approved for construction by the funding agency. Awards will also be given for outstanding examples of fire station renovations or adapted reuse that have been completed or are in the planning stages. All entries submitted will be on display throughout the fire station design symposium.

Design Awards will be presented in the following four categories:

New Construction
Career, combination or volunteer fire stations and special purpose fire facilities that have been placed in service within the last five years.

On-the-Boards

Adaptations
